Aside from every other fact about this dumb election, it is absolutely wild to me that we have just accepted and internalized this fundamental fact of the political organization of our country as a matter of course.

The uneven distribution of political representation in America, leaving aside all the many other spoofs and goofs of our silly system, is really one of those marvels of human belief, like hereditary rule or, I dunno, chiropractic, that truly baffle the mind.
