It feels even sadder than that. They're bored with Biden and he doesn't move papers, because there's nothing NEW about him. They thirst for either a new candidate they can dissect or the chaos that comes with Trump, with a dash of resentment that he won't give them the time of day for an interview.

they're mostly chasing ad engagement by over-amplifying drama. everybody knows he's old and will have to heavily delegate in a second term. none of this is new. but I also think the affluent white billionaire owners may just prefer mindless deregulation and lower tax rate of authoritarianism
