It would be easy to pick holes in this, but that would be churlish. In many respects, this is Hollywood at its best: by turns moving, scary, uncynically sentimental. It owes a little debt to the scripts of Bruce Joel Rubin but it's twist is an all-timer. Love the practical effects too!
