The awful cycle of reporting on fucked up things on the internet, and the ways companies try to minimize the potential harm they're causing. 1) We reach out for comment as responsible journalists do 2) the tech company cleans up the bad content 3) people claim it never existed in the first place

The "All Eyes on Rafah" image that went viral wasn't the original. It was edited to remove the name of the person who actually generated it and a watermark that said it was AI generated was also removed. It came from a huge Facebook group of "prompters"
