I raise this counter argument: If I get 80, I'll be old and wrinkly in all sorts of ways anyway. My body will tell an incredible story and I'll be less likely labeled a Karen when I wear my fun ass 80yo lady haircut with slight purple hues.😎 Also; fuck anyone trying to police anyone's body. Red flag

I've got so many tattoo plans that I hope to fulfill before I'm 40 😭 Honestly to hell with anyone who thinks they can be an asshole about what someone looks like or does with their body. It's 2024. Fucks sake.

I think that when I'm 80, I'll either a) have other, more pressing things to worry about (like my knees!!) or b) be so old I'd probably have no more fucks left to give about what my tattoos look like 😅

Also I'll probably be socially shot down for saying this out loud, but; I largely prefer the presence of tattooed people to non-tattooed people. A lot of them are just "my folks" and I know I'm not gonna be weighed in on and discussed behind my back for the "awful things" I'm doing to my body.

Even tho I myself could never have tattoos (I'm bad with pain and afraid I won't like them in future), I absolutely love seeing tattoos on others. It always looks so cool imo + it's simply more beautiful art to look at 💙

My mom used to talk about wanting to get tattoos of slinkies on her boobs so as she ages they'll become ever more comical. I am not aware if she followed through.

Am I as excited by my tattoos as I was the day I got them 20 years ago? Nope. But they still mean a lot to me. Is it anyone’s business? Nope. Rather than shaming people for tattoos that they might not be as fond of decades from now, what if people turned that attitude towards their own decisions?
