"If you live in a thermos, you can heat it with a candle". Good ceiling insulation a must. Walls also or no void there to blow in? Winter peak use climate, right? Tighten up so the peak is low and consider dragging out life of exist heat then look at heat pump hydronic with small propane backup.

Existing boiler is 40+ yo. Don’t want to wait, w/my luck it wld die midwinter. No wall insulation, brick directly to plaster. Attic is well insulated. No one ever mentioned hydronic heat pump. I will do some more reading but first glance is all abt baseboards? Thanks for the tip!
