Crime rates are down. The economy is going gang busters for the middle and upper-middle class white people who form Trump's base. Biden hasn't shut down any churches. Undocumented people aren't taking jobs from anyone when the unemployment rate is 3%. Look around...things are no worse than usual.

Somewhat related to the use of "worked on XX projects" on resumes, I always noticed that anyone whose job description included "special projects" would have been accurately described as "put out to pasture" or "parked out of the way". So, resume writers, always add some magnitude and impact too.

A cheap option to costly test services is a non-contact infrared thermometer ($25 Etekcity). On a real cold breezy night, just point at exterior walls, ceiling, windows... your best insulated-tight areas will be near the warm room temp. The worst quite cold.

Two steps greatly reduce home energy needs FOREVER and reduce size&cost of new equip. 1 Reduce infiltration using a blower door exam to find / reduce your gaps and leaks. 2 Increase insulation using simple infrared pictures video at an extreme period to focus your attention. (like windows)

Not just time to penalize AI. Gradually raise a Carbon tax on all non- residential electric and a Carbon surcharge on residential power exceeding some per-resident kWh. Finance more solar, wind, storage, grid. Just like a draught response. Then same for gas.Then Carbon tax everything. MARKETS WORK!

Radiator design is for about 180F water circ, so, as you said, baseboard units for 140ish F more common. Could add baseboard units to radiators but this means your contractor has to think, adapt, design instead of just "install per manuf". Zip code keeps your info private but I can see approx.

Typo not a good link. You might consider waterless geothermal. Includes radiant app's. In no way a firm recommendation, but if you live in the areas served, this might be an option. This video is educational. Higher cap investment- lower costs. High eff propane not bad tho.

"If you live in a thermos, you can heat it with a candle". Good ceiling insulation a must. Walls also or no void there to blow in? Winter peak use climate, right? Tighten up so the peak is low and consider dragging out life of exist heat then look at heat pump hydronic with small propane backup.

Quite interesting. Mini/splits already so expanding? 140 yo masonry office where they say propane is the better choice. So, nat gas (methane) not available? Was it fuel oil once? Propane's not cheap. Call some local HVAC contractors. Ask if they have done mini-splits, or other ductless HVAC in houses JUST LIKE YOURS. Go visit until you find a happy owner. Duplicate what works. You can keep whatever you have as backup until the new one is proven. ENOUGH with setting hydrocarbons on fire...
