(sorry, if you meant timing in terms of frequency, the cdc will just be promoting it with the flu season, one in the fall. in fact moderna is working on a combo shot for covid + flu. i would recommend a second dose in spring as covid surges don’t care about seasons. for ‘23/‘24 i did sept + march.)

yes! it will be updated for new strains and is being recommended for everyone 6 months and older. novovax is targeting JN.1 and pfizer/moderna are targeting KP.2. chatter is hoping for wider availability of novovax as well as pushing for getting it more frequently.

pump broke. beyond lucky that i a) still have a pump i stopped using in 2022 that is compatible with my infusion sets and cgm and b) my broken pump is still under warranty.

$1550 at a mechanic’s for new rear pads, rotors, bearings, and backing plates, (for which they had to keep my car a week, so tack on $700 for a rental) only to drive away with multiple squeaks (noise from wheels, additional squealing when i brake). and now i’m supposed to take it back to them?

i am really struggling with my anger re: covid/really any airborne illness that could be prevented by wearing a respirator. whenever someone shares an illness spreading in their family/school i have no sympathy for their pain, only anger that children are being put at risk with all of this exposure
