Since becoming a writer full time over ten years ago, I've found my productivity has only gone up the more time I've taken for rest and relaxation. Not to mention the necessity of time off to let my creativity percolate. Been especially useful as my disabilities have worsened.

That "forced boredom" time is something I've had to learn to work into my schedule, too, so my brain can daydream on stories. I've started putting on old podcasts I don't have to think about when walking/at the gym/running errands just to make my creativity percolate.
