This is the shelter behaviorist from the Bakersfield, CA shelter taking the four most at-risk Huskies of the 75 currently in the shelter to see their first snow.
If you can give a home to a Husky, please go to Bakersfield and save one. They are overwhelmed and have tried everything.
I follow the behaviorist on Facebook. He works with private pilots that will fly dogs to rescues out of state.
He's offered to ship the Huskies to Canada and even Alaska. Nobody wants them there, either.
His last post about them got 500 shares but led to zero Huskies getting homes.
Why are huskies hard to place? I’m assuming there are so many because people buy them because they are cute puppies and then realize dogs are work. But what makes them less likely to get adopted?
