As a kid, I adored that magazine, plus we had shelf after shelf of the Condensed Books, which I devoured. I didn't live near a library, and only received books at birthday & Christmas, so those WERE my library.

Same! Where I grew up in Mexico there were no good libraries so that magazine (with one condensed book a month) was my entertainment besides our Enciclopedia Salvat and my parents’ Merck Manual. LOL
