Remarkable reporting and writing in this piece - if you want to know where we stand with judge-shopping in federal courts right now, this is a must-read: news.bloomberglaw.com/daily-tax-re...

Both of these dynamics are examples of reasons we suggested that the Judicial Conf. consider amending the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure, not just issuing guidance. But! The option to amend the rules remains open if the guidance doesn't produce the results we all hope for. /5

For those who have been following the (surprisingly active!) saga around the Judicial Conference's policy change last week to address the problem of judge-shopping (brennancenter.org/our-work/ana...), a few thoughts on where we go from here: 1/x

Will you mostly be downtown? Quills is my favorite coffee in town, Garage Bar is great if the weatherās decent, 610 Magnolia for fine dining, Gralehaus/Holy Grale a little further afield. If youāre a bourbon person, revel in Old Forester as the rail bourbon at many bars. š

This version is a little ācheffyā (a few extra ingredients, etc.) but I like the flavor of the PB filling enough that I think itās worth considering, depending on what youāre looking for. smittenkitchen.com/2010/10/buck...
