I have an similarly crappy photo of a Blue Grosbeak at Brig which at least has some hints of blue, but otherwise it’s a blown-out overly sunny photo. They’re so nice-looking through bins and so hard to photograph!

Also, that is a fine-looking gull! (but I have a documented weakness for gulls)

Honestly, I took one look at that photo and knew what bird it was. Love Blue Grosbeaks!

No, this is not the way! You only post a photo if you a) potentially have a photo that is b) not too difficult to find and c) feel up to it, aren’t otherwise too busy, and it’s not too potentially compromising of personal info or IP. Easy as A, B, C. (Laughs/sobs.)

Utz does “Chesapeake Bay Flavor” (similar to but not Old Bay, in other words). I like Utz chips in general and I like the crab chips. I’ve never been a fan of Herr’s chips but I guess they have the licensing from Old Bay/McCormick.

I have Very Strong Pizza Opinions. Having said that, one of my friends introduced me to the idea of green pepper and shredded pineapple as toppings and it’s not bad (but I was already ok with Hawaiian pizza so YMMV). In any case, no pickles on my pizza, thanks.

I can’t speak to that phenomenon, but in NJ, some towns have specific purveyors of Really Good German Foodstuffs. This is aside from the PA Dutch farmers markets (which are generally run by Amish/Mennonite folks). But one of NJ’s charms is that one can get all kinds of “ethnic” food there.

#WritingCommunity, do you have a general sense of how many rejections you give a short story before you decide to retire it? And does it matter what type of rejections they were, form vs. personal?

Because if I’m carving runes back in the day, I’m absolutely using a sword to do it (or were rune-carvers awarded swords as honorific possessions?).

Huh. I would try those once, anyway. I agree with your original pizza opinion, for the record.

If you haven’t read the rice truck saga, what are you even doing with your life? If you have read the rice truck saga, you can’t read it too many times. Go forth and read.

You’re right, they’re wrong. As someone else said, at least get the next roll ready to go and within easy reach. Don’t waste the final square, but don’t leave the next person with a paltry amount of tp, either.
