Unfortunately, there's always the urge to please an uncaring GOP with Biden's generation of Democrats. They also have the urge to stomp on the true left, and then blame it when things go badly. Right now Biden is disenfranchising the foot soldiers who rang doorbells for him previously. For what?

There is a tradition for his kind of performance, where the performer lipsyncs to a soundtrack, miming to the sounds. The comedy occurs in the juxtaposition between sound and presentation. The use of Trump's words for this is more incidental but pretty funny IMHO. I guess I'm a lib now 🤷‍♂️

This is the kind of stuff that made me fall in love with the Spirit when I discovered it as a youth. The mix of bigfoot and littlefoot cartooning, in Mort Walker's terms. The exaggerated art in your example also reminds me of "Hey Look" and Harvey Kurtzman..

For one thing, EC paid those artists really well, compared to other publishers. And that really shows. If you compare the EC work of these artists to work they did for other publishers, you see the extra care they put into their EC work.

It's interesting how deliberately the colouring and shading makes the woman stand out. It's rather impressive how she is isolated from the slightly messy action going on behind her. Some very professional design choices going on here, in order to make the cover stand out and catch the eye
