Our poor HVAC unit is having its first Texas heatwave. I got a message from our ecobee thermostat that basically said, “I’ve been actively cooling for four hours but the temperature went up 3 degrees, HELP!” Oh sweet summer child, I have no help to provide to you. You were installed in hell.

50% of our foster kittens got adopted by close friends last night. I’m happy that I will be able to get updates on them and see them again. The remaining two are totally different kittens with their big personality brothers gone! One of them has become such a cuddle monster 🥹🥹 I love him.

It’s something I’ve always wanted to do, and the Seestar was definitely my gateway. It is nice to have the confirmation that yes, I really do love it before dropping the $$$. I need to publish a couple more books so I can afford the equipment 😅

I am starting to learn how to use my DSLR and a tracking mount to take photos using similar methods. I will be upgrading my lens to a small telescope, and then eventually replacing the DSLR with a specific astronomy camera.

LOL theoretically? It has limitations of course but some people have gotten *amazing* results shooting from super dark skies and collecting days’ worth of data. I typically get 1-2 hours a session and then combine over time. It is crazy what it can capture even in my bright suburban skies.

This is the app that controls it…you can see I’ve got about 30 minutes of data here. The longer you stay on a DSO, the more it resolves. Processing on the computer brings out better detail and gets rid of noise, etc.

What it does is automagically go to where you tell it to in the sky and it live stacks short exposures of deep space objects. You can also take photos or videos of the sun and moon. You can enjoy the live view and the pics it saves as-is or you can save down the individual files and process them.

It is a really awesome little smart telescope! I got it in March and fell in love. The images can be quite good if you capture a lot of data and then stack it in post-processing. It’s a beginner rig but what it can do is pretty amazing for just $500. Astrophotography is VERY expensive!

I don’t know if it’s the update I did yesterday, the new spot I put it in, or that the skies are super clear right now, but my Seestar has gotten some fantastic data last night and tonight. I’m so excited to stack and process!

Me too! This album is him casting off so many expectations and digging in to be different, which is such a vulnerable thing for an artist of his caliber. I’m so pleased to see people receiving it well.

I love them so much! 😭 Jin looks absolutely amazing. The maknae line are all adorable and healthy and I hope hugging Jimin every 10 seconds. Hobi is at peak Hobi in this fit. Yoongi is in full “bro’s out, toes out” mode. Namjoon is so broad I have to go scream into the void. My boraheart is full 💜
