For me it depends. Spooky/eerie horror, I'm all over it. But gory, violent horror, no, especially since so much of it just tilts into being about violation in a very "the metaphor here is paper thin if we even bothered to make it metaphorical at all" sort of way. Don't need that in my head, thanks.
