I didnt totally love the book, I didn't like where she went in some of the middle chapters, But there's art that hits you in great ways & sometimes it's made by people who do bad things.

A very, very long time ago I took an aesthetics class with a fantastic professor and one of the topics was how knowledge of the horribleness of an artist affects (or should affect) judgement of the art. It was quite interesting. It mostly revolved around Dalรญ, artistic genius and famous jerk.
