Hmm. It’s used widely (here anyway) with no hint of that context, so the usage is pretty ingrained I think. Hard to break old habits! 😕 and unfortunate for words to be ruined forever by being reappropriated badly. But personally I don’t wish to be an asshole, so I’m glad to learn it can be offensive

Ughhhhh 🤦🏼‍♀️ just read the memo. I’m equally disgusted by the gesture to delegitimize actual digital art, and to elevate the legitimacy of AI gen crap. The whole ‘just another tool’ argument is just plain wrong. No actual artist has a robot make their art for them and then considers it actual art

The subtle sheen of colored pencil on paper ✨ this is why I love traditional media! I kinda hope I get the chance to show some of these in real life somewhere, sometime - a lot comes through in photos, but not quite everything.

Sweet serendipity again - I’d been seeing this cool flowering plant around town and kinda wanted to get some sometime, then ended up finding a few in the yard! 😍 they have a really cool bouncy texture too. Plus bonus beetle

So it was even easier for them to let me go 🤷🏼‍♀️ Being friends with other chronic illness ppl is a great idea though! They’re probably the only ones who will understand not being able to do all the things healthy friends can do

I appreciate that! It hurts when everyone turns their back on you over something you can’t control, that causes you suffering. Unfortunately it was kind of a double whammy, I was in a v bad relationship for many years right before getting sick, and old friendships already weren’t strong due to that

This is why sunflowers are my theme!!Where I’m from, they take over the city at the end of every summer and grow out of the pavement all over. They show that even when conditions seem impossible, there can still be a way to grow 🌻🌻🌻
