As a somewhat new DM, I have discovered something that makes me smile. Making my players do random checks/rolls and not telling them why. The panic and awkward frustration is so good.

We all live in Mojo'verse. Everything is ratings, viewers, advertisements, clicks, favorites, thumbs up, kudos, memes. Everyone is fake and miserable. "How can I monetize this?" "Can I stream it?" "Can we add commercials to it?" "Battle passes!" "Pay to win!" The Life-as-a-Service model sucks.

Fellow escaped Floridian here. That state has a weird hold on people and the past always looks better than it was. You've got people (and two lovely cats) that love you. It's far too cliche to say "things will be better", I know I'm still waiting, but things are certainly different.. in a good way.
