Absolutely right. Of course it does mean the racists and bigots get representation, but as long as the progressives don't stuff up they're of little consequence. Mind you I'd say reform of the HoL should be a higher priority.

The whole system, including the House of Loons, should be changed in one fell swoop. We're still operating a government system invented in the 1600s by robber barons and a king in fear of his life. Replacing conflict politics with consensus politics, will need mature politicians.
