Oh and one thing to note, you’ll notice the sketch portion is a range of colors. I almost always sketch my first outline with scraps, so sometimes they wind up wacky combos. But it saves money since those colors get covered in the end and no point wasting the colors I’ll need.

I honestly haven’t been back to this spot since the jam and no idea what happened to it. Coils has been going through some health problems since then so isn’t very active. If it’s still around it’d be a sweet place to paint and chill.

I had my blackbook with me and many of us were sharing ours around. One guy saw the furry stuff in mine and asked “do you have a rabbit fetish or something?” lol, I mean at this stage we can safely say yes. Looking back I’m not sure why we didn’t buff the wall more fully. But ah well

Long before I started my time lapse videos, this was among my earlier attempts at showing my process. My friend Coils had a permission spot on the roof of a recording studio and held a huge jam with a bunch of cincy writers coming out. This would have been the summer of 09.
