Hmmm...I might disagree. Certainly Matthew (i.e. the Beatitudes) is a pretty damning indictment of the God of Israel; but in a way the very presence of Jesus/God on Earth in Mark is a powerful riposte; no longer the whirlwind, he's one of us. (NB the Q of whether Jesus in Mark is the Godhead...)

I think my reading is pretty idiosyncratic 🙃 but "why have you forsaken me" plus the women at the tomb running away felt to me like tragedy more than anything else. Even the disciples screw up at every opportunity, crowned w Peter's denial. If there's an answer to Job, nobody has ears to hear it...
