Complete agree. They need HR 1, PLUS court reform, DOJ prosecutions for what I assume is currently going on (rampant bribery) and some sort of presidential/congressional committee on democracy/constitutional reforms. At a minimum.

So...everyone agrees that the President couldn't, like, murder his wife or steal someone's wallet, as those are unofficial acts. But doesn't the immunity case mean that nothing related to the presidency could come in as evidence (USSS testimony, WH security cams, phone records, etc.)?

The immunity decision is also a solvent against federalism - not just the "official acts evidence" issue to a state court prosecution of the President himself, but as collateral support for immunized pardons, legalized bribery to avoid state laws, etc.

I agree unreservedly with Biden's statement that he won't use the new illegal powers granted by SCOTUS, even if that would help him win and avoid a fascist government. The issue is that the powers the president ALREADY HAD to stop all this aren't being used either.

Hmmm...I might disagree. Certainly Matthew (i.e. the Beatitudes) is a pretty damning indictment of the God of Israel; but in a way the very presence of Jesus/God on Earth in Mark is a powerful riposte; no longer the whirlwind, he's one of us. (NB the Q of whether Jesus in Mark is the Godhead...)
