Our new Transport Minster not only personally owns two Routemaster buses, but gives transport infrastructure bus tours of London where he will "interject from the driver’s cab as appropriate".

Remember what this government did to UK culture. EMF will survive, but only because we have volunteers and attendees who will make huge sacrifices. Others are not so lucky. Every single shuttered festival, venue, and club was important to a community. We may not get them back.

In the @emfcamp.bsky.social opening ceremony I spoke about how a total lack of government support for the arts has made running UK festivals extremely risky.
When I said that three weeks ago, 42 festivals had cancelled or gone bankrupt THIS YEAR.
It is now over 50.

Honestly don't know - apparently we had several emergency earplug orders mid-event that I didn't know about. I can report back once we inventory our storage shipping containers in a few months, but I am not counting every earplug.

Remember when I carried out a wildly successful earplug dispenser experiment at #emfcamp 2022?
This year I accidentally bought far too many earplugs.
It was fine though: The dispensers were emptied!
Daily.
And people brought their own boxes of earplugs to hand out.

The strength is not the issue. The sources were inside lab test equipment and are intentionally easy to remove for maintenance - once removed you can touch the source directly, and they are not in good condition. You really, really do not want to breathe in or accidentally ingest any amount of it.
