If Biden decides not to run again, Harris can pick her own running mate. If Harris-Whomever wins in November, then Whomever is the VP come January 20, 2025. That's very different than trying to get the GOP-led House to confirm Whomever this summer/fall.

I understand what you're saying, but trying to solve an intolerable situation caused by intransigence against basic democracy by winning an election--in this case avoiding the legally elected VP becoming president via resignation because of 4d Roberts rules chess--isn't a sustainable practice.
