Yeah that was happening to me the past 2 weeks due to stress 😩 Think I'm over it now, but not fun to try and go to bed at a reasonable time to get enough sleep, only to bolt up awake each morning at 5-7am hours before my alarms

Yes. If you wish it to. Imo any disruption in the natural circadian rhythm counts as insomnia.

In all seriousness, it could be Advanced Sleep Phase Disorder. Circadian Rhythm Sleep-Wake Disorders aren't well known but can be really frustrating to deal with, so.

yes if it means you don't get a full night of sleep. no if you go to bed at 10pm and have slept 8 hours by 6am.
