CW: healthcare, suicidality I’m so sorry, people are so careless with their ableism. It’s as if words mean nothing. My dad also had Lewy Body Dementia; he struggled for years and eventually committed suicide because of it. They know not what they are invoking. Wishing you peace among the storm ❤️🩹

Saw a new dr on Monday. She called in scrip while i was there. It was supposed to be delivered that evening. Still nothing. “Just because we charged your credit card doesn’t mean it went through. We can look into it. AFTER THE HOLIDAY” I would vote for a potted plant if it offered us healthcare 😖

It made me viscerally angry. I have never been angry at a film before. A writer, a director, an actor, sure. But an entire film?! I *hated* The. Whole. Thing. It got worse every scene. Like, it was personal. Even Carla Gugino could not save that piece of absolute trash I want my 2 hours back

I worked with ‘em in a hospital setting, and behind patients’ backs they were all fucken assholes. It not personal, it’s systemic. Capitalized medicine is especially awful for psychiatric patients, imo Feels personal, tho.

Patients are so tired of being the ones accused of fraud. Also, when we talk about Medicare, please keep in mind that we’re not just talking about seniors. Especially in the age of Covid, Medicare is the only coverage many disabled/chronically ill people are eligible for. And we still get denied.

Actually, this has me thinking about how in the first few months of the pandemic, there was an actual focus on morale in most, if not all, aspects of life. And now there seems to be no focus on morale anywhere. Maybe even an increase in policies specifically meant to sap morale.

As far as i can tell (and i’m not a lawyer ftr), the biggest failure of the immunity decision is that it hands the issue back to the states/federal courts. We all know where their appeals go, right? Back to SCOTUS. All they did was say: We’re gonna obstruct this by creating a never-ending cycle 🔄
