the worst thing about BOTH times getting covid is that *i* have been fucking safe and mindful for four fucking years and i've still gotten screwed over twice by the failings of other people LIKE COME ON. STOP GIVING ME SERIOUS ILLNESSES
Paxlovid get it get it get it.
Well, talk to a doctor but also get it get it get it.
Metal mouth is real but quash those worst 5 days of symptoms plus likely reduce long COVID chances a bunch!
(βReboundβ is often just the last few days of unsuppressed infection, not caused by the drug.)
During the start of covid I was working in disaster response, and I was flying for work constantly throughout 2020 and 2021 following hurricanes and running covid support. Didn't get covid at all until mid 2022, when I caught it the first time I flew after the mask requirements were lifted.
This sucks, but also if you hadn't been careful, it's entirely likely that you'd have gotten it many more times than that, so all of that effort has still been worthwhile even if it might not feel like it right now
