From what I have seen, read & heard of, the pace of state of the art of high tech is accelerating at an exponential rate. Robots will not take over humans, humans will self evolve into BEING the robots.

This reminds me of the type of AI fan who, when confronted with the flaws of our current AI-hype, try to justify the hype not by saying 'it will be better in the future' (some do) but by downplaying human capabilities. 'creativity isn't real!' 'children learn just like AI'.
