Though what would REALLY make me giddy is a Harris / Lujan-Grisham ticket. I realize that may be a bit too hard left a choice, but I really like our governor here in New Mexico and she's really aggressive with a take no prisoners attitude on LGBTQ+ issues.

Over 30 years now... I probably became a furry when I was 4 years old and my mom took me to see The Fox and The Hound in a theater. For months I ran around playing The Fox and telling everyone I am The Fox. Found fandom in 1993 on FidoNet and Newsgroups, the rest is history!

So, my average day lately: 2-4 hours on LinkedIn. 1-2 hours searching jobs across 13 job boards. 30-60 minutes applying for jobs. 45-90 minutes doing HackerRank or similar code challenges, acing them flawlessly every time. Never hearing back from any jobs.

He's 81 and forgets what he's saying mid-sentence... not now and then, often. I think it's safe to say he doesn't know what he's doing, or at least he probably frequently forgets what he's doing. I think his aides and his appointees are covering for him.

I used to run a furry tech business, an online furry auction system called FurBuy. It's deceased now, though. Taos Mountain in Silicon Valley used to hire almost exclusively furries for decades, AFAIK they still do. But serious furry tech business? None that I'm aware of.

Also, American journalists are reporting on NFP as "France's version of antifa" to us here, so of course we think that means "radical far-left". It's apparently a poor comparison if they are not actually far-left radicals who exist mainly to combat Marine Le Pen and the fascists.

We're not getting good media coverage of what's going on in France here in the US. The main reason "it's a thing" here at all is because Trump supporters are saying "see, you give leftists power and this is what they do - tear down the country".

Yep, the NFP (New Popular Front, a far-left Populist movement) is winning in a landslide, and it's their people who are out rioting and fire-bombing everything. Since the polls predicted the opposite, it seems they were ready to riot, and didn't stop when they found out they are winning.

Oh that's simple - higher community standards and stricter rules prevent all of the sensationalism and toxicity from places like Twitter from spilling over to here. Sadly that's the kind of garbage which drives engagement. So people come here, get less engagement and rage, and leave.

Sadly, presidential scholars say that would almost certainly cost Dems the election, whereas Biden's got a better shot at running as incumbent. But we also live in strange times, scholarship doesn't mean what it used to, and people act different now than they did 30 years back.

Yep, pretty much. I mean, we CAN come back from it, but we have to have the will to take action. Biden has to pack the SCOTUS to reverse the problem now, which Trump would just un-do by packing the court again in January. We outnumber the Trump goons by a fair margin, but we're exhausted.
