Pre-stretching means putting the new tire on a rim, inflate to max psi, and let it sit at least 24h. Makes it easier to mount the tire on the rim once you're ready to glue. Broomstick trick: as soon as you mount the tire with glue, roll it down a broomstick to push the center against the rim.

Oh right, so it takes a nice round shape after being folded in a box for 2-28 months, smart. So roll it along the length of the broom? From the video it looks like the glue is still wet when the tire goes on so I'd be worried about pushing too much glue out with that method? Not sure...

Taping sidewalls just makes it look cleaner, and is more important on rim-brake wheels. Takes less time than cleaning off glue after you're done, looks cleaner and tidier.
