I was very, very, young but have vivid memories of when his policies resulted in the empting of public mental health hospitals. They just... released mentally ill people onto the streets with nothing. The cruel horror of it stuck with me.

Survivor's Social Security benefits (for kids whose parent died) used to run throughout college or trade school. Reagan's tide eliminated them at age 18. That's a massive difference.

I had just finished an internship which exposed me to a day treatment center that...was no longer supported. And yeah, that's the foundation of today's homeless issues.
