Fun fact: Presiding Bishop Daniel Tuttle was the Cal Ripken Jr. of the Episcopal Church. He served an astonishing 20 years as Presiding Bishop (1903-23), 56 years total as a bishop (!!!!) and consecrated 89 (!!!) bishops. He was elected Missionary Bishop of Montana at the age of 29.

Related factoid, Tuttle was elected in fall of 1863, but could not be ordained and consecrated until spring of 1864 once he had turned 30.

But Tuttle still isn’t the longest serving Presiding Bishop. I believe that prize goes to William White.
