I think part of the reason why people are flocking to Chappelle Roan beyond her music being incredible is she gives people permission to dress up and have absolutely no chill, be incredibly queer in public, as well as be an example of how an "overnight success" can take a decade to happen

I also hope the person at Atlantic Records who dropped Chappelle Roan regrets it for the rest of their life. And I already know the outfits from the Tiny Desk and Jimmy Fallon performances will be Halloween costumes this year
