It bugs me to no end that Seth Abramson is still grifting and still so popular. I think I blocked him on Twitter about 8 years ago. It's disheartening to see how many people on the left still follow hysterical gritty accounts.

My mom was an incredible knitter, from intricate snowflake patterns on ski sweaters to very fine cable knits. She tried to teach me, but I'm left-handed and it got so frustrating for the both of us that we both gave up on me. So she taught me how to sew and embroider.

Thanks, and you're right. In early 2015, I began the first phase of an attempt to lose 100#. So aspiring to drop 25# seems like kind of a dawdle. But wow, it is SO HARD.

Thanks. I'm still slaying the weight loss monster though. Gained 15# when I quit smoking but thankfully ended the binge there. But I'd like to take off 25#. (At which point I'll likely need the other hip done.)

I had a Lonestar tick bite about 10 years ago (I got hold of it and ID'd the little bastard). I was very very lucky. No diseases, no meat allergy. But the unrelenting itching and inflammation in that spot just below my armpit went on for WEEKS.

It's a good and necessary list of requirements that increases the odds of surviving surgery and speeds healing and recovery. I fully support it. Putting an obese smoker on an operating table is asking for trouble that no medical team will do, unless it's an emergency.

After becoming immobilized by hip arthritis and told I needed a hip replacement. So to qualify for surgery, I lost 40# (no Ozempic) quit smoking, passed all my blood and cardiac tests, and HAD THE SURGERY 2 months ago today. I can walk again!!
