I've spent zero time in the Ville and my wife did horse shows there a million years ago, so this was "new" for us. It reminded us both of St Louis. My wife went to Wash U and we've gone back a few times. Didn't get to do any bourbon stuff, so that was a miss. But we did Wild Eggs this morning

Not that you've been waiting for an update, but it was a good trip. Hotel was good, walked to Against The Grain for dinner when we got there and then had dinner at River House last night. My daughter liked Louisville as well and I liked it more than I was anticipating.

The Belgians were able to track down the surviving crew members and invited them to a 60th anniversary of the town being liberated. We weren't even married yet and had no money, but we should have gone into (further) debt to go with them to it. Biggest regret of our relationship

Completely understandable. My great uncle, you couldn't ask him anything about being in the army at all. My wife's grandpa, he wrote out what happened to him because the Belgian town where their plane eventually came down would have a festival for when they were liberated.
