You know how we domesticated pigeons to be pets and have little pigeon jobs and then people collectively decided they were pests and abandoned them all so technically pigeons are not wild animals, but feral? Thats what it feels like living in America now
I feel like I post this every time I see feral pigeon discourse, but going to Parc Guell (designed by Gaudi) was so eye-opening because he created architecture that intentionally incorporated spaces for pigeons to nest. The pigeons there are so happy because it’s built as much for them as for humans
This may explain why I love pigeons. They're just these little guys and they want to live on cliff walls and poop in harmony with nature but no, we had to make them have jobs in cities and live on dropped french fries.
