Back when I worked in this business over a decade ago, the interviewer would identify themselves as from the company we hired to do the field work, not our polling firm and definitely not our client (the candidate).

It’s baffling to me that a party’s previous president decides 3 years in advance to run again, goes to Iowa and gets just barely over half of his own party folks to caucus for him, and everybody calls this a “dominant” performance.
