I often wonder if it’s ok to interact with crows and ravens, are we messing with their natural lives? Then I think I think they seem to welcome it, as long as they approach and can leave at any time I reckon it’s ok. Still not sure though.

They'll avoid you if they want to, and they probably won't get close to you even if you establish a rapport. I'd suggest leaving them unshelled peanuts.
