Your daily reminder: if I see that you've written a post and used a automated-plagiarism software-generated piece of art / imagery on it, I won't be clicking, reading, sharing or engaging in any way with it, and my opinion of you as a creator drops a notch.
I strongly suspect I am not the only one
Someone I regularly watch on YouTube has started using AI images as thumbnails, and it makes me sad that someone whose whole channel is about the creativity of artisanal food thinks stolen artwork is fine. Haven't watched a single video sine then.
I appreciate the forthright declaration, but I personally do not understand the regressivism and refusal of progress.
AI is here to stay. At some point is WILL be in your life, and you will likely not notice and have no option of its involvement.
If Matthew Barney was able to use AI to realize his vision and create the Cremaster Cycle images (something certainly not possible right now), I don’t think that would be plagiarism. If this tech enables visionaries to realize their unique ideas despite their lack of resources, that’s exciting.
