Where I live at this time, “They are going to the store” is assumed to be more than one person. I realize that language follows culture, but it’s not there yet. Easier to just say the person’s name than turn a simple statement into a conversation/explanation.

I am bound to annoy people, but I really wish a different pronoun had been chosen. It is very hard for an old grammar freak like me to say “they is”. Why not “Ee”, just get rid of the h or sh? I suppose that’s problematic in Britain or any other place where h is routinely not pronounced. 🤷‍♀️

I confess to not watching the debate. I am so firmly in the ABT (anyone but Trump) camp that second hand news was fine for me. Wish the reports were more encouraging. I may watch at a more reasonable hour to personally assess things.

I spent much of my young life fretting that something was wrong with me only to realize as I matured that being alone has always been my preference and my concerns were just a reflection of what I was being told I should want. Not everyone thrives in a crowd, and that’s okay.
