Not to naysay, it's important someones act like an adult at this level and a fuss should absolutely be made about it, but this kinda rejects that the electorate knows anything without someone in Congress making a fuss about it, which feels pretty cynical about the electorate. Is it really that bad?

I have no sens. on the Judiciary Cmte., yet, I ended up emailing Sen. Durbin yesterday about Alito. I noted that while I wasn't his constituent, I still felt it important to tell him how I felt. I don't know if non-constituent emails are recorded, but I took a chance anyway. I'm just so tired.
