For your plant friends: 🌷🌳🪴 Water deeply today and tomorrow. This means for established plants, yea even big trees, set a soaker hose or sprinkler to run for 30-45 min. You will probably want to suplimentally water during the heat too. Water all your container plants at least once EVERY DAY.

You want to start watering NOW and earlier in the day because plants will not take up water as freely and easily when it gets very hot. Move potted plants into shady areas to help reduce heat stress. Water in the morning or the evening, but remember to water yourself too.

For your local critters: 🐿🐰🐦🐝🐍 Leave out shallow dishes of water in shady spots. Fill these up every day, or when they get dry. For the smolls make sure to leave rocks or twigs in any deeper dishes of water to give them an escape route if they fall in.
