Curious if the studies measure whether the person had those "skills" and lost them, or instead used those "skills" to their advantage and then jettisoned them once they were no longer needed because they had power now. (Put another way, I think using empathy as a "skill" kinda already devalues it!)

Migraine has hit. Headache pain is only in momentary waves (thankfully). But the hot/cold, soreness, dizziness, weak muscles, and sight and smell aversion are steadily building. Send chocolate brownies!

Being surrounded by dullards sucks. One of my best moments with an otherwise not great boss was when he bust out into a wheezing giggling fit when I frustratedly referred to a lazy coworker as Bartleby. The need to be understood is real!!

Happened to me. I mean, I was half crazy already. But 3.5 years of sleep deprivation and nonstop daily noise left me a basket case. I gained 20 pounds and became vitamin & mineral deficient. I finally got out of there 2 months ago and it's an immense improvement. (Still fat, though. 😅)

🤣 Oh, I have stories. In college I showed up to work one day after taking 3 sudafed. A guy who worked with me who I'm pretty sure actually sold speed was like, "what the hell are you on?" Wouldn't believe me it was sudafed!

Ah, aleve. I tried that once a bunch of years ago before a wedding. Passed out cold on the train on the way, and my partner could barely wake me. I then apparently acted perfectly normal, but I have no recollection of the day. Weird shit!
