Take time. Separate your needs from your fears. People play on our fears but when I slow down, it’s a lot easier to see that need is not the same as wanting a fear to quiet.

My psychiatrist suggested I have a designated person to run relationships past. He said, “You know when someone frightens you, but you don’t know when someone is dangerous.” I was 😳 Run everything by someone else and take time with EVERY decision. If a person rushes you, they’re not for you.

First time I made them, I forgot they were duck. Scrambled. Boring. Took a bite. Went back to my frige and opened it because I didn’t remember having cream and was pissed I’d put so much in the eggs I clearly would have none left for coffee. THEYRE SO GOOD!

I moved to the country. I knew about coyotes. Bobcats. Rattlesnakes, black widows, and so on. It has become my opinion that not enough is made of the dangers posed by suicidal baby squirrels.

I volunteer four days a week at a ROUGH animal sanctuary. A horse fully tried to unalive me and I answered, “Okay, so that’s a no thank you then.” So now I’m bringing her daily watermelon because I’m sure we will be friends eventually. Assuming I survive. Bcuz friend shaped.

“Death by beaver” is now the second best way I’d want to go. First is “death by dragon”. Dragon death would be filled with awe that would probably overcome the fear and pain. Beavers mean I wouldn’t stop laughing long enough to be sad.
