no, they're about the same now, so we've got the windows open and fans circulating. even tho the low is supposed to be mid-70s I think if we can get the inside cooled down to that we'll be in better shape. starting out the day at 88 was rough

it's mostly the characters, but it does almost apply to the series in general. the way it wrapped up retroactively makes a lot of it feel pretty hollow

That said the only thing I truly despised about this episode was the expectation to be okay with Mero because she felt vewwy sowwy about what she did, and that it was water under the bridge because she made up with Kano. Meanwhile, careers form smoking craters behind her, uncommented on.

The difference is "whether the thought behind the idea was meaningful" and tbh the ending just felt really empty. More focused on neatly tying up plot threads than really tapping into the emotions underneath them.

This is perhaps unfair of me, but Kano's mom talking about the difference between buzz and backlash kinda read as a metacommentary on the show itself and kinda teed me up to view everything that came after adversarially #Yorukura

I will say the direction continued to be fantastic in this episode - the montage-style cutting as they met up in front of the mural was really creative and touching. Everything this show did was at least executed with style.

Last episode of #Yorukura was pretty disappointing. Promised a lot with that kiss episode 5 and didn't really bother doing much to resolve it afterwards. Resetting to a more distant status quo after Kano and Mahiru were forced to take a look at what they meant to one another is such a letdown.

I'm not someone who demands explicit relationship confirmations in yuri, but I think where GBC and Yorukura are at currently highlight the nuance in that feeling for me. Nina's confession has gotten a bunch of nice MomoNina moments; but Kano's kiss has basically been left lingering for 6 episodes.
