The Republican mayor of Reno(80s) realizing that the homeless cost the city about $5m a year bought a building for $237, 000 and hired a manager $27,000yr and housed all the Reno homeless. All agencies took part SSI, Medicare, VA, etc involved. Voted out next election. Coddling the homeless.

Nyc discovered several years ago as well, it cost half as much to put a homeless person in an apartment as it was to keep them in a shelter.
