Maybe it's my Midwest bias but I do think Whitmer or the guy from MN or even Kelly would be a good option but the time to have that conversation was last year not now. It's in everyone's best interest to shut up and get behind Biden. Everyone hated him in 20 and he still won.

Fair enough. That's been my issue with this conversation since the beginning even pre debate though. No one is specific about who they'd nominate or now how they'd handle all the paperwork. So many sports parallels to angry fans just screaming to scream.

You're last point is so important. I wish people thought about what they actually added to the public space instead of just spewing crap everywhere. We'd all be better off for it.

Don't know if they count as animal info books but Coyote America and American Serengeti by Dan Flores are great. I have a few written by wildlife biologists that great also but I'm not in front of my book shelf.

After decades of activism, Joe Biden’s administration finally was the one to ban USDA’s Wildlife Services division from deploying cyanide bombs on federal BLM lands. These things have killed pets and injured recreationists, and killing carnivores is bad policy anyway. Biden got it done.

I had no idea what a difference better paper made. I still type because it’s just more convenient and I couldn’t exist as a writer without spell check but good paper and pen are fun.

Pup butt. After meandering away from the group, this one came bounding back into the grass to start stalking up on its littermates (off-camera in the upper left background). . . . 🐡🌿🦊 🌎 Tahoe, CA 📸 300mm, F5.6, 1/1600

Now you’re ready to delve into the world of stationary. I didn’t want to admit it but writing on nice paper with a fountain pen makes a difference.

The only acceptable animal to compare any of these assholes to is ticks. I love all animals and find the good in them. Ticks are pure evil.

Could be part of it but I think it’s part of the broader bias against predators. We’ve come a long way in the last few decades but not far enough.

I have my suspicions they’re on Bluesky now. I’ve noticed a lot of new accounts doing nothing but talking about Democrats are morally wrong for sticking with Biden. This is all so obvious it hurts.

Oh yeah there are some wild stories from the dust bowl. Some of it was for survival (jacks were an easy source of protein) but still. Kids getting out of school early and bekng bussed to a round up to thump rabbits is brutal.

You can still find wild peaches in some areas of Kansas from these trees! I tried some that were originally brought here by Exodusters and they tasted like freedom.

In case you need something kind of neat to think about: Every at Wimbledon they employ a Harris Hawk to scare away pigeons and other unwanted birds from the tennis courts.

His name is Rufus. He may this year (?) get a co-worker named Rhea? www.bbc.com/news/uk-engl...
