Unplayed all of these. Still need to finish Rebirth and that may happen soon. But I forget that XVI is there and sometimes consider the XV DLC or buying the chibi version. I'm sure XVI is a fine game but I don't need Final Fantasy to be a Devil May Cry even approximately. They have to go back?

Final Fantasy XVII has to be turn-based right? Breathtakingly old school? I don't think it's just the C-PTSD making me forget XVI exists. I think about the DLC and the chibi version of XV more often.

(Like it or not, the solution begins with the tolerant people--the people who see and are able to learn about the problem, the people who aren't so rigid and inhibited.)

(By way of the fact that parents only have to practice "Do as I say, not as I do." Prejudiced parents aren't going to do that about prejudice, but tolerant parents would about how to respond to prejudice.)

In any case, the solution to the problem begins with the response to the problem. We have more control over whether kids grow up knowing how not to respond to prejudice than we do over raising kids who aren't prejudiced.

It could be something that new generations are going to have to grow up understanding so they can pressure people from below into not responding to prejudice with hatred. Although I wonder if that's part of how this started to begin with?

That is, haters of prejudiced people seem proud. The self-righteousness might be characterological or it might not be. If it is then yeah no one's going to want to face their shame. In most cases I'd guess it isn't, and the sticking point is the in-group. Still what a problem, what a mess.

Addressing the problem of people hating prejudiced people might be harder than addressing the prejudice problem itself, because according to the research, most prejudiced people are conflicted about their prejudice. Haters of prejudice seem proud of their behavior and seem to feel no guilt or shame.

John Carmack said something similar while developing Doom. He said something like it's the perfect food because it supports every food group.

Makes some amount of sense not knowing the details of who's what. "The enemy of my enemy isn't quite my friend, and I can't beat either of them yet [I'm guessing], but I can still see they're not the same." I'd expect above average critical thinking ability from that person.

There's probably more to this than we'd want admit. Having a Jet Fuel Guy invites distinction, but "he has a plane for his cars" doesn't register as a problem for a lot of people. It's something to envy. Class divisions are a problem but focusing on divisions probably isn't the way to solve them.

I thought about this tonight, that we must be processing things at a much different rate than the Germans for example could have due to communication and travel technology.

4 others weren't like that. Conditions were somewhat different, obviously it's somehow related to where I'm at with the C-PTSD, but still. Every time I work on it it destroys me.

One day I'll figure out why even 20 minutes of working on this novel, even just transcribing it, leads me to pass out for anywhere from 2 to 6 hours even if I've already slept. It took 3 years to write and now over 1 to type because that's the everyday experience. For whatever reason it destroys me.

Again I'm pretty sure this guy doesn't get arrested if he's carrying a full-size Master Sword instead of what amounts to a knife, a 6-inch replica. I bet. I bet.
