Saw Naked Lunch when it came out on cheap movie night (“$2.50 Tuesday”) with a bunch of frat boys in the audience who were audibly distressed at what they seemed to feel was false advertising

Ahh, Naked Lunch. Saw Naked Lunch as a fairly sheltered 15 year old, couldn't convince anyone to go with, so ended up in a part of the city I didn't know seeing it in a mostly deserted theater while two guys sat far too close to be chance and got it very on. Was an experience.

I was going to make a joke, but then I realized this was indicative of a half-forgotten age when people would just go to the theater and see whatever looked good once they got there, and now I’ve grown wistful
